The Dynamic Earth
Here is another great resource from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. This site has interactive images and explains plate tectonics, gems and minerals, the solar system, and mining. It is great for some quality visuals and quick, easy to understand explanations. A nice addition to any modules or lessons on these topics. Has both a multimedia and a printable version of the site.
