Sorry for the lapse in writing, I’ve just been out of town and grading papers. So here is another great science resource to start off the week.
Science in Focus
A resource of animated tutorials about various scientific topics and links to resources with more information. Created by Sumanas, Inc.
Two new sources for video, sound and podcasts.
1. Macaulay library’s Animal Sound & Video Catalog: from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. A really nice resource with lots of video and animal behavior sound recordings.
2. Another great guide from the Library of Congress: Podcasts, Webcasts & Othe Digital Media Files. Tutorials on podcasting, definitions and sources of science podcasts. Good, quick overview and nice variety of links.
The journal Nature has a small, but growing online streaming video archive. Videos complement some articles or letters from the journal. Online videos are free to use. Many different topics. Check it out here.
